A lot can happen when you're not paying attention. You can lose a boyfriend; miss an opportunity; and you can fall in love ... But at 24 Ulysses Crescent, on the curve of beautiful Georgian houses overlooking Dublin Bay, in the quaint suburb of Abbotsville, the tenants have not been paying attention. Evelyn Malone, former style icon, as vibrant and agile as ever at 76, is still swimming every day until a brush with her past trips her up in ways she could never have anticipated. Evelyn's granddaughter Truth, a prosecuting London lawyer for sexual abuse cases, takes a sabbatical to come to Dublin to get to know and help out her infamous grandmother. But Truth is running from her own demons, not least of which is a tribe of vicious online trolls who want her cancelled for an innocent remark. In Dublin, Truth gets to know the other tenants of the house - Nessa, who runs the local vegan café and has a gift for reading the Tarot, but cannot seem to predict or manage her own love life and Mike O'Neill, enigmatic sculptor, responsible for The Waiting Man sculpture due to be erected to commemorate the legend of Abbotsville's own local ghost. While separated couple Bruce and Stella have a very modern arrangement at Number 24, living in separate flats while parenting little three year old Freddy. As the annual Fair Day at Abbotsville's beautiful ruined castle draws near, and a statue Mike has been commissioned to write is due to go up, the unthinkable happens -- little Freddy goes missing and the tenants of Number 24 are forced to unite to find him, before it's too late ...
